The summer reading book which I read was Whale
Talk by Chris Crutcher. This book had two problems in it which was racism and
bullying. Racism is not okay by any standards.
T.J. and Heidi were a victim of racism. It is not okay to be racist
because God made everyone equally. Everyone was made equally and is special. No
one was made better than anyone else in this world. There are some people in
this world that are sadly prejudice and racist to other because of skin color
or whatever other reason. It is up to other people to help the ones that can't
help themselves. The result of racism can be extreme it can turn people into
murders and damage some kids for life. Also it
The second choice of topic I have
is bullying. There are many types of bullying such as harassing someone or
cyber bullying. This is also a subject where everyone agrees is not okay. There
are so many kids out there that have stories and tough lives and on top of that
are bullied. People take things seriously sometimes that are only meant as a
joke. If someone calls a person fat, most often a girl, they take it too
serious and go on an extreme diet and starve themselves to a point where it is
way too unhealthy. If someone gets bullied because they are mental they could
end up killing themselves and no one deserves to have their lives taken away.
Often times the bully does not have it easy either. They either have past
experiences and/or someone they love dearly getting bullied as well. This is a
bad thing all around for everyone and the people that are by standards have to
help fix it.
